I accidentally slept until 11:30 this morning, but it turned out to be a fantastic way to start the day. After puttering around for a while at home, I walked down to Chinatown in the rain and bought little trinkets, tea, and the ingredients for that bomb-ass stirfry.
Then I had a coffee and read my book/people-watched for an hour or so before going to my favourite second-hand bookstore and browsing there for a while. It was still raining on my walk home, but that type of warm spring rain that smells kind of sweet and green.
Now I’m perched on my coach, eating the world’s best stirfry with a full pot of jasmine tea beside me so I don’t ever have to get up. I’m going to sit here all night reading my new books and watching the rain through the windows and it is going to be amazing.
- minced garlic
- red onion
- red pepper
- wilted spinach
- 1/2 can of chickpeas
- baby bok choy
- Chinese 5 spice
- 2 packs of chow mein noodles
Basically just throw the entire contents of your fridge into a pan until it’s delicious.
